Important Message To All Low Back Pain Sufferers:

If you are experiencing back pain you are probably not living life to it's fullest. Simple tasks like putting a pair of shoe, shaving, driving a car, and prolonged sitting can be very difficult.

The problem with back pain is that it usually doesn't cause things we associate with being sick like fever, dizziness, or nauseousness, but like flu, it can keep you from performing normal activities of daily living.

Signs And Symptoms Include But Not Limited To:

  • Numbness
  • Tingling Sensation
  • Burning Sensation
  • Stiffness
  • Weak feeling in low back
  • Dull ache
  • Shooting pains
  • Spasms
  • Pain during coughing, sneezing, or bowl movement

Most back pain sufferers will immediately turn to pain relief medication. Others consult their medical doctor. Usual treatment consist of either a stronger pain relief medication or a muscle relaxer. If that doesn't work, often physical therapy is prescribed.

There is a lot of confusion among health care providers as far as the best treatment for low back pain sufferers.

Here's Is What Most If Not All Doctors Agree On:

1. Improper low back joint function creates improper healing.
2. Improper healing causes scar tissue that can cause joint stiffness.
3. Joint stiffness decreases nutrition to the discs of the low back.
4. Discs that lose fluid nutrition during motion degenerate.
5. Degenerative discs can lead to arthritis, further pain & more frequent flare-ups.

Unfortunately, most back pain sufferers aren't told the truth about back pain.

That is why this report has been written.

Back Pain Causes More Than Just Pain

Back pain causes sick days from work and a disruption in leisure activities. Back pain can affect normal sleeping patterns and is even known to cause relationship problems.

Frequent Complaints Of Low Back Sufferers Include:

  • Irritability
  • Weight gain
  • Feeling older
  • Sense of helplessness

Back pain has many causes, including Subluxations, Protruding Discs, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Spinal Stenosis, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Osteoporosis, Obesity, Pregnancy, Back Sprains or Strains, Sacroiliac Joints Dysfunction, Paraspinal Muscle Spasms, or Complicating Spondylolisthesis.

Back Pain Can Go Away By Itself?

      That's good news!

The bad news is that every back pain episode that you experience can lead to further degeneration even after the pain goes away.

So, it's important to know what to do and what not to do if you experience back pain.

1. Immediately following a low back pain episode apply ice not heat. Heat can increase the inflammation and create an environment for the laying down of scar tissue. Never directly apply ice to your skin. wrap ice in a moist towel or place in a plastic bag. Ice can be applied 10 minutes per hour to decrease inflammation and decrease pain.

2. Prolonged sitting can make back pain worse. try to stand and move around for at least a couple minutes every 20 minutes.

3. Stay away from caffeine or other stimulants and drink plenty of water.

4. Visit a Doctor of Chiropractic to assure proper joint and nerve function. Chiropractic care is safe and affordable. It can help keep low back young.
